Receptionist
The Receptionist serves as the welcoming face of the organization and plays an essential role in creating a warm, inclusive, and professional experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This position is the first point of contact for individuals we support, their families, visitors, and staff, and is responsible for ensuring that all interactions reflect our mission and values. The Receptionist provides front desk coverage and a range of administrative support functions, requiring someone who is organized, compassionate, and dependable.
Education and Experience• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative support role.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• High school education or GED equivalent
Required Skills/Abilities• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Professional friendly demeanor with the ability to interact respectfully with a diverse range of people
• Strong verbal communication skills; able to convey information clearly and calmly across a variety of audiences and settings.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and ability to learn organizational systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Physical Requirements• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Duties/ResponsibilitiesFront Desk and Visitor Services
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors, individuals we support, families, and vendors; greet everyone in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and courteously; take and relay messages accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Administrative Support
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; process outgoing mail as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized filing systems (physical and electronic).
• Perform data entry and records management tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Provide backup administrative coverage to other positions as needed.
Teamwork and Collaboration
• A genuine team player who actively supports colleagues and steps in where needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships across departments and with the individuals and families we serve.
• Flexible and adaptable; adjusts to changing priorities and organizational needs.
